thumping sound in front left frame

thumping sound in front left frame

Last night noticed a thump sound in the front left floor, not all the time. Can anyone tell me what this is?

I am thinking ball joint, shock...

Best way to check worn parts is to jack up that side and then grab/pull all the components to see if there is looseness. How many miles? Ball joints usually "pop" when turning the wheel.

Sway bar running wild and running free? Check it's bushings and links.

I agree with PaulC, sounds like a sway bar link. You'll feel it through the floor, not the steering like a ball joint.
