Sounds like you put the brake switch on upside down (I did it too) and you got a bad booster. Did it come with a new check valve? If so, did you use it? I would check that to make sure it’s working, but most likely a bad booster. Did you adjust the push rod?
I suspect the one way valve is no good
I would think the booster would be functional
Re use old one way valve and retest booster function
If it still hisses call Bezos back

I put the old booster back on. The original problem of brakes not releasing seems to be solved for now (how I don't know.
I do now have the brake light on the dash staying on.
Sometimes the little sensor at the bottom of the reservoir needs to be replaced for the red brake lamp on issue
If it's full of fluid and the E brake wire isn't grounded, the sensor is the issue most likely
Wet climate for 5 years means the brake booster might have rusted out internally

As dumb as this sounds, push the float in the MC reservoir down a few times and let it come back up on its own. This fixed mine… 2 weeks later and it hasn’t come back on.

I've never been a fan of Amazon or Facebook, but there are plenty of smaller business' that would love to take your money and give you a great product. The part may cost you more, but buying something that does not work is not cheaper. Buying something that does not last as long is not cheaper either.
