Spent the week fitting my new engine and mocking up the bed I picked up from Midwest early ford.

The bed itself is well made but the instructions leave a lot to be desired. As in, I desire instructions to exist.

Of course I can and will figure it out. But, as we’ve seen over the years, guys get these things wrong and it takes much more time to figure it out than to have a reference guide. I don’t have an old one that it’s replacing that I can look at for comparison.

I’d like to get it right the first time and instructions would help.

Yeah, I picked up my bed from Midwest too, and yeah, I also felt like the instructions were lacking.
I can tell you now, for example, that the two threaded steel plates are for the upper front connection; they slide in roughly where you currently have your grip pliers attached. I only figured this out after I’d already installed the rivet nuts there.
