So I am going to keep my ‘22 F350 7.3 CCSB Platinum.
I am contemplating a tuner for it and have a couple questions.
I had a SCT tuner years ago on a ‘13 F250 and liked it.
A couple questions for the wise ones-
A- I am still covered on Fords ESP for quite a while- will I void it adding a tuner?
B- it is my daily driver that pulls a 10k camper a few times during the year plus a 5k boat/trailer more frequently.
Suggested tunes?
C- who’s tuners do we like?
From what I've read Ford be able to see if the tuning has been modified even if it was restored to factory so if you have an engine/transmission warranty claim Ford most probably will say your tune caused the problem regardless if it did
I would love to tune up the engine but then you have to start running 89 or even 93 octane. There is no free lunch

5 STAR has 87 octane tunes... Is it worth it...??? Yes it IS, worth it. Why...??? because around 23HP or more, comes on around 1,000 RPM sooner than the stock tune, with the tune I got for my 6.2L gas...
I run an 87 daily/tow tune from 5 star tuning on a '21 6.2 6 speed. The biggest differences were:
Massively improved throttle response. The factory pedal was very numb and delayed. The only downside to this is when the truck is in low range and I'm moving a trailer which makes the throttle feel overly sensitive.
Much better shifting strategies. It doesn't try to shift into the highest gear immediately around town and tow mode didn't use 6th on the highway unless I was at 80+ (this was updated when I went to 4.88s). The original tow tune they sent me was overly aggressive in how it downshifted in tow/haul mode but they worked with me on a few revisions and now it is dialed.
More power... It has more power across the RPM range but I noticed the biggest difference on the top end. It pulls hard with the additional timing and whatever other magic they worked into the tune. I'm sure on the 7.3 it'll be even better.

They are great to work with. Mine shifted into 6th at 51-52 mph, and the road I mainly travel is 50 mph, and it was hunting a lot between 5th and 6th. They dropped it to go into 6th at 45mph and now its a perfect tune for daily, towing our 19' Rinker and 31' TT.
