Howdy all. Overcast, chilly and trying to be wet and windy here. Strong wind and rain overnight. That nonsense seemed to quit around 0400, and then the dogs started in. Chased off a resident coyote who was visiting the porch and yard, Dogs quieted down after that. Still heavy overcast, and the temp has finally increased from the overnight low of 39 to 41. Just looked and we're up to 41.7 - there is hope after all.
Couldn't get back to sleep after Wiley left so got up made coffee and was going to let the dogs out, but they were sound asleep. Should have booted them out anyway, just for paybacks and revenge. We did boot them out a little bit ago. They did their business, ran and played, got in trouble for going to and wanting to jump in the river. Got them back into the house and they went back to bed. Of course they did.
Still a heavy dark gray overcast, light breeze with wind chill and the threat of more rain so I'm going to do something brash and bold today. I'm going to stay inside, with an exception for going to the Post Office, and work on getting the estate work up forms, insurance red tape, and taxes done on the computer today. And, I'm in no hurry to do any of it.
Blue skies and sunshine here today. Gorgeous but a bit chilly. Only got to upper 40's today with a slight breeze, just enough to be uncomfortable outside without a jacket. Still, better than most and I'm not complaining.
Howdy all. 33, heavy dark overcast and a sprinkle.
Got the first of two bids in on repair and refinish on both log buildings, all but one deck and the well house here at Bravo Compound yesterday afternoon. I figure I'll recover from the shock and PTSD around June or July. Of course, that time could be extended when the demo and rebuild on the main house south deck comes in.
I must be living right. I was repairing a little 120v water pump this morning that was leaking just about as much water as it was pumping. This little thing is a seal keeper, I started prying it out and before I could a finger on it twang and what seemed like seconds before I heard it hit behind the tool box. There is a lot of stuff back there, paint cans, oil drain pans, jack stands, a Cummins 4BT and a few miscellaneous Bronco parts. I thought to myself it will be a miracle if I ever find that little thing, I walked around behind the tool box and holy molly there it is right there under a wire shelving rack.
