Tire size with pics?

I have a 1964 F-250 2wd long box. I’m putting a locker in the rear and I think with an aggressive enough tire on all 4 corners I’ll be able to go just about anywhere I need to.

I like the classic look like the 7.50x16 power kings that are on it and dry rotted but looking for a radial.

what suggestions do y’all have?

I like my tires. Goodyear Wrangler Mud + Snow LT235/85 - R16. Right about 32" tall. They are mounted on period correct 16" x 6" one-piece "innie" wheels - powder coated but need to be paint matched to the Wimbledon white.

That’s a good look. My wheel are period 16” as well. They are painted but plan on powder coating. I’m also struggling with the hub caps staying on. I’m assuming because of the thickness of paint?

I also used LT235/85 - R16's. The old tube tires were 7.50x16's. The 235's are a very close match. Mine are not mud and snow like TA's.

Not the best pics but here is before and after. Had rims powder coated Wimbledon white.

I rather like the black rims on my WW 66, but think as set of proper 16
I rather like the black rims on my WW '66, but think a set of proper 16" innie wheels would look much better.

I used 225/75-16's on my 64 F250. They are very close to a 7.50 OG size, just a bit smaller which works for me and a a E load rating. I have a complete set of the BFG Commercial TA's and a pair of Toyo M55's for my rear winter tires. I chose these because of the fairly simple sidewall and they are closest radials I could find that kind of have a bias ply look.

235/85 r16's on the rear of my 3/4 ton. However the skinnier 215/85's out front help with the armstrong steering.

Again, I really like the look of the 8 lug innies…

I am running 235/85 r16 all around. I like how they fill the wheel arch even with stock suspension.

I have lowered my 64 3" so I like the slightly shorter 225's and their skinny look. I think the stock size in 64 was 7.00-16, so Im close to that. In this pic, just the front end is down... The rear will get lowered this Spring.

Thanks! It's a '67 T-Bird bench. I just haven't finished modifying the center console/armrest.

Here, here to a peaceful '26. Happy New Year to you and yours!

265/75-16. I don't think they could be any bigger and not be in danger of rubbing in the right situations. It's hauled literally tons of firewood and no issues ever.

I should add that is a rear end out of an '81 and is slightly wider than original which means the factory '65 rear end should afford more clearance.

Have had these for a while, had them on my 79 F250 4x but they were a tad small, ended up putting them on my 66 F250 and they fit great, haven't really driven with them much, but on my 79 they were great for wood truck, hunting truck and off-road, decent on-road manners but they are bias-ply so a bit stiff in cold weather initially. They are the STA Traxion 9.60x16.5

Pickupmanx2, I really like that rear bumper, that is exactly what I would like to put on my '66. What to trade?

If you would like to come take it off AND bring a 30 rack of Miller Lite... and maybe another bumper, you could take it home with you! ;D
