Chugging idle while in gear
I have a 2001 E350 7.3 that I neglected for no good reason and it sat for 3 years in my driveway.
prior to being parked, I installed brand new injectors, glow plugs, etc. it ran like a finely tuned watch.
well.. I put new batteries in it, new fuel filter and fuel. She fired right off and ran like nothing ever happened. With one big exception, while under load at idle (in gear) it idles like it has a big cam... and it’s pretty dramatic.
We’ve put a few hundred mile and a tank of diesel through it but the idle persists.
Idles smooth as silk in park or neutral.
revs without issue, makes great power.

No comprende. What does idle under load mean? Or is the power goofy when underway?
What injectors do you have? ALL details por favor.
Worth inspecting the ICP connector. Pull it off and if you see oil new ICP.

fair point, I made a poor choice of words there lol!
idle while in gear is what I should’ve said. In park it’s smooth as glass. In gear it’s rough like it has a radical cam.
injectors are Alliant, 100% new. They have somewhere around 10k miles on them. Never had an issue until I let it sit for so long.
