I am now one of the folks joining those that have broken off the crankcase vent nipple that is on the driver side valve cover. After extensive search, finding by huge surprise that we can't find any parts for these motors such as valve covers or even the nipple.
Is this really the case? Has anyone found a source for the valve covers? I can find them for 2005 and later, I guess for the 3V motor, but not the 2002 time frame.
I can't believe there are no aftermarket valve covers either???
I did take some advise from others to use the JB Weld Plastic Bonder and let it sit for 24 hours as it is a bit colder outside and found a hose to fit as the old one was very hard and put too much stress on the nipple if I was to use it again. Could not even get that same nose either, so the guy at Autozone allowed me to go back and try to find a match and I did find one very close and it worked.
