Hi guys ,
I'm considering fitting a digital dash in my 56 f100 .
For the ones that have gone this route i'd like to hear your feedback , good and bad .
For me to get one sent to Australia it will be expensive , so i want to make sure i'm not gunna regret it .
It might help focus the feedback if the commenters knew what you plan to hook up to it; e.g., complete stock drivetrain, 12v conversion, XYZ modifications, etc. I have a stock dash, but do have three analog gauges under the dash; oil pressure, water temp, volt meter for my Ford 302.
I have standard running gear in my 56 .
292 y block with fmx trans .
I'm looking at going with either Classic Instruments dash , or Dakota digital dash .
Surely there is a forum member or two who have gone this route ??
I used Dakota Digital MHX gauges in my pickup which is the metric version of the VHX and have another ordered from Summit Racing for the truck I'm building now..
Yes I am. I was going to order the RTX https://www.dakotadigital.com/index....d1251.htmuntil I seen the price
so I opted for the same ones I put in my pickup
If you buy one be sure to buy the DIM switch with it because that's the only way you can dim the gauges for night driving..

Yes John the RTX looks nice , but by the time i got one Aus and i paid shipping , taxes etc it would be around $3500 aud .
The MHX is a lot more reasonable .
