Well, it had to happen. For the past five years, my drivers rear crewcab door would not open. I did everything from rhe passenger side door but now it is broken and latch inop. Got a big problem, any advice appreciated.
I'm guessing they wont open from outside or inside? I was going to say find someone with a slim jim or similar tools, but that might not work depending on where the actual issue it. Probably going to have to pull the rear seat somehow to get access to remove the door panels...unless the door panels can be removed without the seat in place.
no actual experience but that's what my brain is currently telling me.

Reason: typo
<smartalec response> Go back in time 5 years and repair the driver's side latch.
<serious response> You'll need to remove the inner door panel to access the latch mechanism and try to get it to release, then replace broken components. This will likely require removing the rear seat...through the front door. Maybe it won't but it might, I don't recall if there is enough room to get the inner door panel off with the door shut, as I never tried. Once you get the door open things will be a lot easier to work on, so focus on getting the latch to release.
