Lil Red Powerboost

Hey everyone! Glad to be back on the forum. I recently traded in my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie for a new 2025 F150 King Ranch with the Powerboost drivetrain. The truck came with the FX4 package, Max Tow rear axle, 7.2kw onboard power and bed liner. It took a lot of looking, and when I bought it, it was the only King Ranch with a 6.5' bed available within 500 miles of me that was available in a color that wasn't black or white.

I got the Ford extended warranty through my local dealership (shout out to Richmond Ford Lincoln) as well as a ceramic coating with a 7-year warranty. I do a lot of travel and anticipate having close to 200k miles on it in the next 6 years. I plan to keep the truck very close to stock, no lifts, no oversized tires. The only modifications I've made haven't been terribly exciting, adding Ford splash guards and wheel well liners, as well as the 12-pin plug for the trailer camera and TPMS and a FitCamX dashcam. I do plan on having a Ranch Hand Summit bumper paint matched to the marsh grey trim and installed, but I've had trouble sourcing one (everyone keeps telling me they're sold out). I know it will hurt the fuel economy, but I have too many deer in my area and these headlights are too expensive to not have one.

As of this writing, the truck has 21,500 miles on it and we've gone through our first 2 oil changes, one windshield (black walnut dive-bombing in west virginia) and one transfer case.

At the first oil change, we saw 19.5 mpg over 9,144 miles, with 1,242 miles all electric and 213 hours of "key on" time. We did a fair bit of towing during those first 9k miles with a ~5,000 pound trailer.
At the second oil change, we saw 21.3 mpg over 8,142 miles, with 1,049 miles all electric and 163 hours of "key on" time. There was much less towing during this oil change, and mostly with lighter trailers.

Unfortunately, the truck is down for the count at the moment, parked at the dealership and waiting for a new transfer case. I'll have more details on that soon...I hope.
