Steam Power

i know we all love our cars, trucks, planes, boats .yet how many still enjoy watching and hearing good old steam power doing it's job
I'll start with the biggest and badest ever

there used to be a lumber operation that ran through Reddington to a mill in frenchtown that ran under Rt 202.
when we rebuilt the three bridges on 202, one being over the railroad bed, i used to love hearing and then watching the train coming past. unfortunately that operation shut down around 25 years ago.
i also saw it a few times in Frenchtown when we repaved Rt 29

had you beat tom, my GP was one of the engineers for the Delaware/Lackawanna, got to ride in the cab along the cut off

talk about power and rolling coal
