One thing I remember about the Dynaflow. It is the heaviest automatic transmission that I ever pulled from a 56 Roadmaster.
If the bolt pattern is the same as Pontiac, Olds or Cadillac a standard bellhousing could be used from a Pontiac or an Olds as some came with standard transmissions. Good luck!
The bolt pattern on a 55 322 Nailhead is it's own. Nothing will work without an adapter to the tune of about 6 or 7 hundred bucks. I know some of you are going to be pissed but. I just happened to have a free low mile Crown Vic PI my cousin gave me and a buddy that is the crew chief for a pro 4 off road team and he had an idea. And I knew he had the fab talent to pull it off the right way.
Which year model CV? The front track on the 03 and up are wider than the previous year models. The wide track will need some custom wheels with more back spacing for outer fender clearance.
I am sure with what you have as far as fabricators you should have no problem setting it up with the CV conversion.

You are correct the wheel base is wrong the track width is also wrong. So most guys that attempt this swap start with a long bed and cut the bed to the correct wheel base. Ok I can live with that. It's now a what? not a short bed not a long bed it's a new model a medium bed. Now for the track width it does not fit. No worries pie cut those beautiful canted in fenders pull them out and fill in the pie cut. Right......Wrong. First you have to take 4" out of the length of the frame simple, Then have the rear end narrowed, We took out 3/4 of an inch on both sides should have went 1".So far no biggie. Here is the tricky part. As you said off set wheels well the offset on the Vic poverty wheels already have a heavy offset. Ok but we want to run them because they almost look correct on the truck. That's when a talented friend comes in well unless you have the skills your self. I'm a pretty good mechanic but not that good. So my buddy says I'll just narrow the A arms. He made a fixture and brought them in an inch and a half both sides. I could put them on a table in front of you and you wouldn't be able to tell they were ever touched. Here's the part that made me cringe. You have to cut the inner fender wells and I mean a lot, And the fire wall a lot. Where the step is when you open the door it gets smaller. And the bottom of the back of the cab. But in my case it had some bad rust anyway. Could have been the salt.
I will post some pic's have to find them. Oh I forgot 2011 PI
Just so everyone knows the only place that makes a stand alone harness for a 2011 CV is Ron Francis. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to wait 16 weeks for one. Two years prier when we first started the project Holley which my buddy is a dealer for said they had a stand alone system for it even came with an ECM and all. So we purchased one. The build was on hold for two years when it came down to the finial assembly we realized it was all wrong. And because of the time that had passed even though they told us it would work no refund. So they do make a system for earlier Vics . I have one. We decided to make the original harness work. Now most that try this end up using the instrument cluster and steering column out of the CV. Frankly that is just down right nasty was not happening on Dads 57. One thing that is necessary is to buy the Ron Francis computer Reprogram module. That way you can delete EGR, CATS and also get a tune. I will have to say it is very time consuming and tedious. There are so many flippen wires and there very tiny but with the correct wiring diagrams it is possible.
Very cool.
im getting my dads f100 going too same year. It’s got a i6 223 I wanna keep. I’ll be grabbing a cv front suspension from a 2006 i traded beer and burrito for. How it started Big step notch so I can lay frame
If you havent already bought the Ron Francis kit, check out Hotwire Auto in Mena Arkansas. He has done about a dozen harnesses for me and you get back a NEW harness with NEW connectors.

What year CV harness's does he do because there are a lot of changes over the years and models. The stand alone Holley harness I have is for a earlier model and will not work. We also bought a Ron Francis off of face book that was suppose to be correct year and model but nope got screwed on that one to. I believe it is for a Exploder. Oh well I will be posting some new way under priced harness's on this forum soon.
