Went to check the cabin air filter on my 2025 F250. Who at Ford thought it was a good idea to bolt down an unused connector directly in the way???
And I wonder what it's even for?
Ok. So that's what it's for. But why bolt it directly in front of a service item. I relocated mine to a stud on the lower left. Out of the damn way😁
They needed a space to put it, the space was there. Ease of routine service is not their problem. Just ask the 2.3 EB Ranger owners who have to take off a wheel and take apart the left front wheel well lining to....get to the engine oil filter.
Same idiots who designed the 17-22 trucks (and maybe the 23+ I do not know) to require partial disassembly of the dash, including removing screws, to change the cabin filter. First time I replaced that filter in my '19 I thought to myself "they have got to be kidding...."
Some people take them out once and never replace. Worked well without a cabin filter for years on vehicles. People that insist on cabin filters probably still walk around wearing a mask...or drive alone wearing one! LOL!
