I have the Curt. I use it mostly for bike rack. The bikes already sit higher than the hood, do not sure I would want it higher. I know on my GMC 1/2 ton for the tork lift to work you had to dissassemble the entire front end. If you dont need to do that with the super duty, I would be looking at the tork-lift a bit harder if I were to do it again.
front bumper has to come off for Torklift install on the f250
I did have to pull the bumper off, but it really wasn't that tough. It was harder holding the hitch in place while starting the bolts. I had to get my wife to help me with that!
To each their own, if it's something you will use often then by all means. If it's just a "I HAVE ONE" thing that will hardly get used like so many winches... then my vote is a solid no ! I like as much unobstructed cool air to get in my engine compartment to help keep it cool. These trucks run hot enough already(partial design) but when you haul heavy or tow heavy I don't want anything handicapping my trucks operation and performance. Just my 2 cents.

Plenty of people here (myself included) can attest that there are ZERO issues with using the front mounted hitch and the truck cooling itself adequately. I've towed a 10,000 lb. RV up and down the mountains of East TN, following a bunch of a-hole bicyclers for 5 miles @ 10 MPH in the 96° heat of summer, with the truck A/C blasting the whole time, and the truck had ZERO issues maintaining 200°, which is where it sits all the time unloaded. I don't know if that heat performance is unique to the diesel, but I've not seen a bunch of the gasser guys saying anything different, so I'm betting not.
I don't use mine much, but when I need it, it is 100% worth having for those few times it is needed. The TorkLift Ntorth Hitch itself doesn't block any air flow. Of course, if you load up something large and solid on the hitch it can block airflow. I have only used it for bikes, which sure, it blocks some wind, but not enough to write home about. I have thought about getting a rack to occasionally haul my generator on, in which case that would block some wind, but so far I haven't. Also, to be completely transparent, I did not buy this hitch. TorkLift reached out to me several years back and asked me if I would be interested in providing feedback on a couple of their items, one of which is this hitch. All they ask for was feedback for install and use on my truck, which I provided directly to them. If I were to have to buy one, knowing what I know now, I would go with this same front hitch.
Installation. Notice that it sits below the coolers..
All installed. There is plenty of room for the air scoop to still flow air right to the coolers.
Better view of the unblocked air flow. The license plate blocks more air than the hitch.
I too have a front hitch and use it often, from a motorcycle rack, to a deer rack, winch rack, etc., and another nice feature is if you need to move a trailer around, visibility and control are much easier.

I bought a new 20' open trailer and decided to mount a receiver on the deck. I went ahead and mounted my winch on a hitch mount so I can
1 use on the trailer
2 use on the front of the truck
3 use on the rear of the truck
4 I can put it away when not in use
once you have it you'll wonder why you didn't have it sooner

I have the same set up and use's,......... except for #2, I carry my winch there but do not use it for self recovery from the front (rated for 10k), light stuff yes

I haven't "needed" the winch yet..... but where I park at my property to camp if it rained a lot it could get dicey to get out.
I'm thinking about putting a hitch receiver in my enclosed trailer too since the winch is mobile
also when using the hitch carrier on the front you can't see what's out there and it's easy to forget it's out there. I purchased snow plow guide markers to put on my carrier. I haven't put them on it yet as I'm trying to g to figure out an easy way to "pin" them on for easy removal

Here is my Curt hitch. Ordered a new bike rack because the kids bikes sit too high. I also carry a second spare trailer tire on longer hauls in addition to the one on the back of the trailer.
I love my etrailer front hitch with 1,000# tongue rating! Makes parking my boat and trailer into tight squeezes really easy. I also added a set of Timbrens up front so there's no sagging.
Parking large trailers is super easy

Reason: additional info
The Torklift hitch is rated for 1,000 lbs. tongue weight and 10,000 trailer weight. You should be able to hang the truck in the air by it. In a pulling situation where the truck may be stuck in mud, etc. it might not be quite sturdy enough. Also - you need to be sure it is a straight-line pull. Angled is not acceptable if I remember correctly.
