I have a 2015,F350-Long bed with the camper package. Realized tonight, I have a broken leaf spring on the passenger side. Since I have the camper package, does that mean I have a more heavy duty spring pack or does it mean I have just an overload spring? When I called my local dealer and gave him my Vin# to check prices for a spring pack he said it was $1,100 for just one spring pack but didn't say anything else about it. I made sure to tell him I had the camper package too, but he didn't make mention the spring pack was different. I'm trying to make sure I get the correct replacement spring. And, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the U-Bolts are a one time use if I remember correctly?
also...chasis cab leafs are different lengths than pickup leafs
the ubolts get torqued in steps
there is usally some slack between the pins and the holes ......whcih means your axle could wind up off center...measure inside edge of front and back rims on both sides to get them as close as you can....the axle usally can be jiggled around to change the position to get them close....sometimes you have to use a ratchet strap between the axle and one side of the tow hitch to pull the shorter side back a little...once aligned the best you can get...then start to torque them down and recheck when you are done. a 3/16th difference between left and right side is noticeable by the driver as a pull to the left or right....if the right side is longer than the left vehicle will pull to the right and vice versa. I use a laser measuring tool when doing this.

Interesting you mentioned the measurement of 3/16" being off and a pull to the right or left. I actually developed a pull to the driver side a month ago but was thinking the front end alignment was off since I live in Colorado and live out and travel on some rough roads. The passenger side tire is sitting within about an 1" of the mudflap now. The other side is about 3-4" from the mudflap. I guess this goes back to the importance of performing a walk around of the vehicle often and looking for any issues which I have been neglecting to do for a while now. Looking back, I feel pretty confident it must have broke when we were coming home from Idaho driving I25 through Colorado pulling the RV. There was one section of the freeway that damn near wrecked us with all the whoopsies.
I'll take a look at the link you posted and check pricing.
I would see if you have any private shops local to you and get some pricing from them. Might be way cheaper.
Slowmans has a good point. On my 96 F250 with transplaned KP Dana 60 SFA, I had one of my rear springs that had cracked and I went to a local spring shop who hooked me up and installed a new pair. Very knowledgeable guys there.
For my truck, both springs were replaced due to cracking under the premium warranty I purchased when truck was new. I just daily drive my truck though... I know I have the have snow plow package but not sure of camper rear spring package. I have the window sticker somewhere. But I have the SB. If it were me, call or go talk to a local spring shop and I bet they could get you set up proper.
What I’m trying to understand is are all the OEM springs the same for a 350, but since I have the camper package, does that just mean it has the 1 additional overload spring that only contacts when the main springs get severely flexed out?
Is there a spring code on the build sticker on your door jam? There is on my '99. A lot of us with the old super duty trucks got springs from ATS Springs and I haven't heard a single complaint. I highly recommend them and you can probably get both springs and u-bolts for less than that Ford price. And they can beef them up for you if you want.
Walleye Hunter,
Didn't think of looking on the door tag. I'll look at it when I get home. I‘m going go buy my local Ford dealer and see if I can get a spec. sheet from them.

My 2015 CCSB SRW F350 has the overload spring. Pretty sure it doesn't have the camper package since it's a short bed.

i ordered the camper package on my 2017 short bed. I think the overload springs were standard on the F350s during that truck era. I don’t think the rear springs are different with camper package, but that camper package does up the front springs by 1 weight rating, adds a rear stabilizer bar, and gives you a certification that hangs out in my glovebox.
