Looking for some advice to point me in the right direction. I am posting this for a friend. 2018 F150 King Ranch with a leaky heater core. We are in the Venice area of Florida for the winter and need to get the heater core replaced. Can anyone in this area point me towards a good shop to do this done and if you happen to have a ballpark on how much it cost if you had yours done? The local dealer wanted $250.00 up front just to assess the issue. Thank you

 

This was done under the extended warranty on my '17 F150. It's an extremely labor intensive job that requires basically disassembling the dashboard. From what I remember, the dealership billed Ford over $2,200 under the warranty. I paid the $100 deductible.

I can only add, if that dash comes apart, replace the hvac door actuators. Not that expensive, but it sure is if they have to tear dash apart at a later date. Good luck, Google or a FB local group might also have mechanic ideas.
