I've decided not to upgrade the pan this time around and will reuse plastic pan.
I have a 2022 6.7L diesel 10R140.
I've watched a few videos and the pans are different. I guess on 23+ there is a stand pipe plug in the pan. I don't have that. There is an Allen head plug on the side above the pan. Is that the proper fill level? So, I would fill to there, put the plug back in, heat up the tranny to 185 and then remove the plug and fill again with the engine running?

Yeah, but you'll play hell getting the temp up to 185 in the shop, but if you get it up to 140 or better you'll be ok.
Fill until it runs out of the hole.
What will you use for a pump for the new fluid?
And, why not install the new pan? You already have it, right?

No, I didn't order it yet. I just decided it wasn't the best use of my money now.
