Hey, I'm a horsey person too. I bought an F350 DUALLY, The one ton capacity does make a difference when you are towing big 4 horse goosenecks with all that wieght in the bed of your truck. The truck is great and when your hauling you do not get white knuckles when that semi goes by at 80 + or when you mare and stallion decide they should try to mate in the back of your trailer. The axle on the dually is huge. Do not know about the brakes, buti if you can get the torqueshift 5 speed auto tranny in your package DO IT. The tow/haul switcht is wonderful and it works in all 5 forward gears damn near down to 5 MPH. Hope this helps. rimshoes.
