Snow Tires
We just had 6" of heavy, wet snowfall. Today the roads are rough with hard packed ice and snow. It has made me appreciate the full on snow tires on my truck. MUCH better traction and stability. I figure that I'm going to wear out multiple sets of tires anyway; so one set is full on snow on used rims. The rims cost far less than the deductible on collision insurance. And I love the peace of mind when driving.

My studded Hakkapeliitta Lt3s have lasted 4 winters, my Michelin crosclimate 3peaks allows me to postpone putting on the Hakkapeliitta's by 1 month and allows me to take them off 1 month earlier and still have a winter tire on that can be used in the summer...

Yup. The factory Goodyear tires are rock hard in the cold and pretty useless. Putting my Blizzaks on tomorrow
