What color were the factory visor arms?
I know I can get them chromed, but the ones I have were originally painted. They are in primer now.
I'm thinking on silver at least, don't think they were body color.
My mounting holes were messed up used a rivnut to fix them. Other than welding to repair
I am assuming they were painted argent silver like a lot of other things in the cab. I'm not an expert on 48-52 trucks but 53-55 visor arms were painted argent.
Inconveniently, there is no mention as to what the color is being matched to... Usually it means body color, but that doesn't seem to be reality. Usually, if it was a universal single color (Back, Brown, Silver), they were just supplied that way.
No way 53-56 inside sun visor brackets ever came body color. 100%
just to add to the support that they were not painted body color
when doing my big window 30+ years ago and no internet. I used dealer brochures for a guide and I was fortunate enough to photograph a 47,000 original mile 56.
here is an example

From my research in 52 they were a basic warm medium gray color like both the hood springs and the bench seat tubing in 51/52. The interiors then switched from a brown palette to a gray one in 51/52. Argent silver is a metallic color. This gray was was not metallic . They were not to the best of my knowledge in an argent silver, although this would make sense and would not be a terrible choice.
In 48-50 they were of that brownish grayish taupe color the OP has in the picture. I have matched that taupe color in a paint, taken from NOS examples. And even that taupe color varies from one example to the next.
I used the taupe color on the seats tubing Tube color is the same as paint sample below just different lighting Based off of this NOS visor bracket Which was 48-50. 52 was gray. But I have the brown cardboard interior.
