Good morning and how are you all. I have a 2014 F350 that I'm getting a -40° message on my instrument cluster.
I believe the previous owner replace the mirrors with aftermarket makes.
I removed the mirror last night after work . I do not see a sensor in it. So I don't know if the wires were removed.
I was reading another post, now I can't find it . That post the member stated he was having similar issues. A respondent said that the wires at the harness should be pin 12, yellow/green and pin 13yellow/violet. Is that the same color for the wire harness and the sensor wire?
I cannot find the ambient temp sensor . I'm thinking previous owner replaced the mirror, bought lesser aftermarket brand and perhaps removed the wire?
I will check again tonight to see if there is an open pin location at 12&13.
thanks and good day.

Sensor is in the passenger side mirror and is easy to swap out. I swapped it out and am having the same problem, despite cleaning the connector and big door connector. I’m wondering if there’s another connector in the dash as it only happened with the replacement sensor after removing the dash to replace the evaporator.
its a pain because the sanity check to see if all temp sensors are reading the same trips the CEL.
I ordered a sensor and wire harness from a company called Boost out of Chicago.
I will find a spot to mount the sensor in the aftermarket mirror . Hopefully there won't be another issue regarding that sensor.
