I'm looking at two different wheels. One has an offset of +1mm and the other is +18mm. I really prefer the looks of the +1 over the +18 but I do not like the look of the tire being outside the wheel well. Does 17mm make that much difference? It's only 0.67 of an inch

you’ll notice it from some angles for sure but it’ll also depend on your tires width.
on my truck with 18x9 +18 offset I’m running 37x13.50 and it’s the maximum amount of poke I’d want.
if I could tuck them in even slightly more I would but there’s not a lot of wheel options I liked with a 9” wheel and tucked in more than +18 from what I remember when searching.
remember also the rear axles are not as wide as the front. So from some angles I actually didn’t mind my 10” wide wheels with negative offset. But what bothered me was the front axle tire poke when you looked at the truck from more of the front. They just poked out too much. So I swapped ‘em.

Yeah I guess I should've said they are 20x9 and I'm running 295/65r20 Nitto's....35x11.5 equivalent. stock suspension.
I had 20x10 and I think maybe -24 wheels on my truck before. Swapped them for 18x9 +18 and it looks so much better in my opinion. Grew tired of the tires poking out too much really fast.
my truck also has a 2.5 level kit up front with oem 17-19 (or tremor) blocks in the back.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! After looking at your wheels again I decided to give Fuel one more look and decided to go with the Blitz in the Matte black with double dark tint, 20x9 +20
I'm running 20x9+1 wheels with 35x12.5 tires and wouldn't want anything more aggressive than this. I almost regret not going with a +20 wheel when I got these.
20 inch +18 & +20 wheels with the 8x170 bolt pattern are not in abundant supply is what I found in my search. And the offset numbers are counter intuitive IMO. One would think a + offset would stick out more than a - offset

You are correct they aren't as popular in the +18 & +20 for our trucks for some reason. I ended up settling for these mostly due to the wheels being my second choice but for a much lower price (I think I paid ~2800 all in for the wheels, tires sensors) than the Methods I really wanted. I'm still very happy with my choice after almost a year and ~20k miles of driving including a trip from Delaware out to the Canadian Rockies.
