03 5speed torque shift tranny's owners beware!



This just a heads up from my friend at my dealer(parts counter)

Seems some of the new tranny's have the wrong dipstick in them!

The wrong sticks say mercon on them and if you fill to the line on that stick you will overfill your tranny!!!!

The new dipstick should say Mercon SP on it!

Geez and I thought Monsta would know all about this!!!!!!!

Maybe this is the same line worker who is charged with installing the headlight switch light bulbs ??!!!????

Dind't they have this problem already on the oil dipstick a couple of years ago? This seems to be an ongoing problem at the factory.
Nothing worse than your dipstick being too short. I hate it when that happens.

Does this have anything to do with me putting the required 6 qts in my v10 and the dipstick still reads almost a quart low?

My '01 takes exactly 6.2 quarts with the filter, and the dipstick
shows right on the money.
