can someone explain to me the pro's and con's of having the rear leaf spring shackle facing up or facing down? or tension and compression
on the top you can see what i mean with the shackle facing up the stock configuration or the tension config on the bottom you can see the flipped one the facing down one or compression config again what would be the pros and cons of each setup?
I read somewhere with it flipped it increases spring rate making it stiffer or something like it’s a smoother ride that but it’s also a lot weaker under load
whereas the stock configuration is a rougher ride and a lot stronger under load
someone care to clear all this up for me? For context I’m asking because my brother is putting a shackle flip kit on and I’m reading up about it
