That's not a shackle. It's a slipper. Curious. AFAIK, it should be a shackle. Your front springs would look like that, but the slipper towards the front.
Maybe some rare heavy load option? What rear axle is on it?
I think we need@TA455HO to chime in
I know your cab is questionable, but do you have the door tag?
Are the rear brackets riveted or bolted? Any extra holes in the frame?
Mine is a 66, but I think it is similar to the 65:
rear shackle
Thank you for the correct term it is the correct in the front and the axle I am told is a Dana 60 with 4.56 gears here is a picture of the tag no very much to read though. I forgot to respond to two questions. The door tag is missing and the rear brackets are riveted on. I contacted the PO to see if they have the door tag.
I was told by them that this was a military truck

Dana 60 would be right for F250. 8 lug wheels on the back? You'll want to read the tag numbers so you can search for exactly what you have.
Military vehicle... The plot thickens well past my capability. Hopefully one of these real knowledgeable types will chime in.
Here's a photo of my front bracket on the rear spring. What's yours look like?
Riveted on, rear slipper. Maybe it was a cost saving move for the military.
in any case, looks like it still works. I don't think you'll find off the shelf replacements, but a spring house could make you from scratch if needed. I don't think the front slippers are produced either.
The rear rear changed between 1965 4x4 (slipper style like Wayne said) and 1966 and newer 4x4 (shackle style like Wayne has). Here's the drawing from the MPC.
Is there a way to convert from the slipper styles to just regular leaf springs with the bolted ends just by putting the bolted one in there? Or would I have to get new brackets?
Notice in the shackle style there is a bracket labeled 5776 (base number). That bracket allows for some pivot between the frame bracket and the leaf spring eye as the spring gets longer and shorter. If you tried to put the leaf spring eye into your slipper mount and affix that end permanently there is no place for the changing length to be taken up so on the first good bump you'd probably break something. The slipper style allows the leaf to lengthen and shorten by simply passing over top of the roller (base number 5970).
