I need help tracking down this problem. My battery light has started flickering on when hitting the brake pedle, just some times. I cleaned all battery conections, tested voltag on them both 12.7. Altinater tested 14.7. Also load tested both batterys. Both tested the same between 10, 12 on the tester. I have recently changed the Glow plug relay, it was throwing a low voltig to the glow plug code. Aney info would be helpfull.
Don't know if this is any help but my 97 F350 just started doing the same thing about a month ago and it was the plug connector on the alt.(the single wire) had come loose somehow. I replaced the plug in and the lite hasn't come on since.
My 95 started the flickering too a few months ago. It was the exact same wire on the alternator, 89elite. It comes in contact with the hood shield. After years or mileage of movement not parallel with connection, ithe wire strands will break at the crimp spot. I just popped the metal plug away from pastic holder and re-crimped at the wire insulation quide (on metal plug). $0 fix and good to go!
