The torque convertor bolts to the flexplate (similar to flywheel on a manual trans) on automatic transmissions and pumps the fluid. Pull your belt off and spin the air (smog) pump and alternator and idler (tensioner) pulleys. One might have a rough spot on the bearing which you possibly can feel. Another method is to spray WD40 behind the pulley (engine running) where the shaft goes into whatever. The bearing will be inside the housing but close to the front. Larger accessories like the alternator and air pump will also have bearings on the back side of the shaft. I had a '90 F250HD w/5.8L until recently and put 268K miles on it. My guess will be an idler/tensioner/air pump pulley and should cost $30-45. Air pump is not that easy to change but simple enough with a service manual. The other pulleys are straight forward. Check your belt, you may want to change it too if it is cracked. Whatever is squeling can lock up and burn/break the belt so don't wait too long. AC compressor can also squeel but most people don't have AC problems in Dec. and you could tell by turning AC off/stopping the squeel.
