oil leak problems....any ideas???
Well on the way to school this morning......i hear my truck make like a hissing/spraying sound, stopped after about 10 seconds, get close to school....stop at a redlight, start seeing smoke coming out from under the hood and i could smell burnt oil. Pulled into the parking lot...check under the hood and theres oil all over the side of my valvecover, cylinder head, and exhaust manifold (only on drivers side) and it sprayed it all the way back onto the firewall. Oil pressure never seemed to change (even tho i think the gauge is crapped out to) and also my temp gauge dont work either. Has this happened to anybody else? Please tell me its nothing to bad! It almost seems like it could be the valve cover gasket but its hard to tell. Its my daily driver so it worries me a lot. It did leak on the ground some, but now as i see it its not really leaking anymore...but i could be wrong. Any help would be appreciated! Hopefully its an easy fix because i need a oil change anyways, so some more work couldnt hurt.

The above causes oil to blow out of orifices due to high crankcase pressures. I am not positive that is what is causing your trouble but they are worth checking out and it is an inexpensive check.
