Side screen keeps defaulting to navigation Sync 4 Carplay
Is there a setting I haven't found that keeps the side screen where I left it?
While in Carplay, I keep changing the side screen to the music display, but it keeps reverting to navigation on startup.
I believe the trick to keep the side screen on music is to make sure the last screen you were before Android Auto / CarPlay on is the Nav one. Since if your phone does not connect instantly, it will go to the last screen you used. Since the music screen won't allow you to have music on the side as well, it goes to Nav. However if you start in Nav, the side screen will stay on music. Been about a week on my 26 where music stays on the side screen since I figured this out.
So, go to factory / Ford navigation, set side bar to music, then activate carplay, set sidebar to music and we're good?
Yep, set the side screen to music while on the factory nav, then go to carplay. I have android auto, but I imagine its the same thing. I guess I should test having music as my last screen and see if the problem comes back.
I'd rather not have anything there. So I hit the little dual arrow button in the upper left corner and just go full screen with whatever I'm using.
Me too. If i want to see what music is playing, I look at my driver dash. It shows there and if that's not enough, I just hit the audio button and pull it up on the big screen.
Having the little panel up in the big screen Nav defeats the purpose of having the big screen!

This has been one of the annoying things I just dealt with. Thank you!
