Queen's work truck (2015-current)

Meant to set up a thread years ago to document my truck repairs and improvements.

Here it is fresh from the car lot, 2015. 338,297 miles on the ODO. Prior owner lived on a dirt road, it was caked with dust and mud in the frame rails and the cab was incredibly dusty.

Not long after buying it, discovered a massive fuel leak from the fuel bowl. The old one had never been drained of water, so the water inside decided to find another way out (corrosion). That was my first lesson of how owning and maintaining a classic Ford diesel is not cheap. Luckily, I grew up around wrenches and knew how to figure things out.

Also learned early on to only buy Motorcraft parts for almost everything. A cheap parts store sensor that takes 3 hours to install - gotta be OEM motorcraft otherwise you'd be doing that same 3hr repair again in short order.

More pics incoming from notable work done on this truck

Time for a new water pump

Getting the fan clutch removed turn to be a major pain in my butt. I'm not super strong so I struggled with breaking the nut free. Did not let it beat me! kept at it and got at least after a couple hours

nasty, but no cavitation on the timing cover

Took time to clean the front of the engine off real good

Since I had good access to the front of the truck got out my power washer and give it a good going through
