I try to do as much of my own maintenance as I can...but at the same time, I know my limitations.
I'll do a brake job, but I wouldn't try replacing a valve-spring or water pump.
We have a lengthy trip (involving a travel trailer) in the planning stages for next year...about 2500 miles from Southwestern BC to Winnipeg. For the past couple of years, she's been running well despite the few hiccups I have mentioned in this forum, but I want to give her a good "once-over" before this trip.
Of course she'll have fresh oil and filter. ..a new air filter...transmission was serviced about 12,000 miles ago...all brakes and rotors about 20,000 miles ago...spark plugs were changed about 30,000 miles ago...boots and pills about 9,500 miles ago...tires have about 25,000 miles on them and are rotated every Spring....coolant was changed from orange to yellow about 14,000 kms ago (and hasn't lost a drop)...Throttle body has been cleaned, so has the MAF sensor...one CAT was replaced last year...front grill removed and all rads cleaned in May of this year.
I think I've been pretty comprehensive in my upkeep, but I'd like to know what you all might check (that I might not have covered) as part of a pre-trip examination.
PS. I haven't included any trailer PM, because that's for the RV forums!
I don't see transfer case in your list but it could be me overlooking it.
The transfer case lube is pumped to keep the input and output shaft bearings cool and happy. The fluid gets pretty nasty after 20-30K even in all 2WD driving.

Transfer case fluid was changed about 40,000 miles ago...Ford's recommendation is every 150,000 miles (60,000 when towing), but I'm glad to do it more often if need be.
I'll add that to the check list in March.
Probably should replace the serpentine belt as well....

At 96K miles I replaced the belt tensioner, idler pulleys and belt, the tensioner pulley and one idler was definitely needed to be replaced because of dry bearings. I used a Gates kit the at replaced all the parts from Rock Auto.

Had some noise issues back in the Summer of 2022 (about 25,000 miles ago) while we were on vacation. The shop claimed that it was being caused by the tensioner and pulleys, but they could only source the tensioner and ONE pulley. We were leaving the next day and the problem seemed to go away...
When the noise re-appeared that winter, I replaced the third pulley and haven't heard the noise since.

Transfer case fluid changed today. Very simple and straightforward...should have done this a couple of years ago...fluid was very dark but I could still see thru it.
Anyways...that's done for another 40,000.
