Rear differential identification

Looking for some help identifying what I have. I saw some visual diagrams. Just want to make sure I’m seeing this correctly. I think it’s a Dana 44 or 80. What do you all think?

I tried today as well and they didn't show, same thing yesterday but they eventually appear as you now know...lol

Clean the casting near the bottom right of the carrier housing, there should be a number "44".

Your four post of pictures of different diffs is nice, yet it doesn't include a Ford 8" picture. Not necessarily a good choice for our trucks but then again neither is the Toyota 7.8. If you made that list it would be a nice addition.

Thanks for all the replies. Went underneath and did a little scrubbing. Bottom right corner has a 44

That's good to know. And in case you didn't know, the little tag has your gear ratio on it. 47/12, the number of teeth on the ring and pinion gears, respectively, works out to a 3.92:1 ratio.
