Solid axle '94 f150

Will the tech article for putting a '78 solid axle in a '95 tell me what I need for my '94? In the article the guy uses the the coils and radius arms from the '78. What are the pros and cons of using this setup vs. a leaf spring setup?

I have leafs and a Dana 44 on my 86 F-150. Lots of welding to mount shackles and reinforce frame. Crossover steering eliminates bumpsteer. lower shock mounts were fabricated. I think leafs are stiffer than coils. Watch out for front driveshaft angles and rubbing on crossmember. Also watch clearance on engine crossmember. Good luck! I'm very happy with my final product.

My buddy and I put a 78 Bronco 44 in my 94 2 years ago. Came out awesome, was almost a bolt-on. Minimal fabrication, and almost all the parts needed are available at the parts store or the boneyard. Leafs will ride stiffer, and the coils (I used Skyjacker 4" coils for a 78/79) are easier to adapt. They will fit right into the 94 upper coil buckets. Any more questions post 'em. I have swap pics in my gallery. Good luck! Steve
