Resurrecting this thread for a moment... The truck did an active regen today, but the "Regen Status" was OFF the entire time on the iDash. The Soot Load % and DPF % went down. The idle RPM bumped up, and there was a slight drop in calculated MPG. There was clearly and active regen going on, but it never triggered the Regen Status to ON/ACT.

Now I lost a little confidence in the iDash. I had the Regen Status on the first page but I'm thinking about removing it now. Has this happened to anyone?

The only time I have had mine act up is when I left a card in and it was constantly recording data. It was fine until the card filled up, but then it was rewriting over the old data… it acted wonky then but turning the recording off and removing the card stopped that. However my regen status has always been correct, and I know this because I always trigger it do I am watching the screen.

If you are passively regenerating it won’t be “on.” I can watch the numbers drop and the indicator is off, but this is during a passive regen while pulling my camper. The indicator on the dash is only for ACTIVE regens. Were you in a passive regen perhaps?

I also don’t remember what year you have. If it’s a 23+ model they seem to be a bit different from the earlier years…

Is this a Classic model, the original unit that came out, or is this a Pro model? I believe I remember @acdii stating the iDash, the Classic IIRC, does not register the regen status on his MY24 (I believe). Hopefully he sees this and comments.

Yeah this is for a 2024. I was keeping an eye on it because the DPF % was at 100, once the truck warmed up it went into active regen. It wouldn't have been hot enough for a passive.

This is the Classic. Weird thing is that it normally does flip to ON/ACT status with active regens, but this time it didn't.

Running the latest firmware? A year ago had a classic do this once. Upgraded to the pro, it shows active (every time so far) but fails to show the alarm 9 out of 10 times. Haven’t had a chance to call banks to find out why. BTW, banks released new firmware for the pro that turns on engine oil pressure for 2020+ 6.7’s!! … wonder if lift pump pressure is next.

Oh wow, that's huge. Thanks for the input. Let me see if I can update it.

This made me go and look to see if they had an update for the classic... that would be a no. I bet they won't do updates for the classic (Data Monster/Super Gauge) any more, even though they are not really all that different from the Pro's. Pushes folks to upgrade eventually I guess.

I see no reason why Banks have not had lift pump (primary) fuel pressure after the 16 MY... your trucks have the same dual fuel sensor that my 16 has and which I watch my primary fuel pressure on mine.

The last update was in 2022 and was 1.24.00. We are ancient history as they push the new Pro models.

I know right! I called them twice during the first 1/2 pf 2025 explaining forscan lite can see the engine oil and lift pump pressure PID’s, so no reason iDash can’t…. evidently it can, banks just super slow at adding them.

Do those newer Motorcraft dual oil sensors measure oil pressure, or are they just switches like mine?

My 24 uses the dual sensor (not a switch even though the dash still displays an idiot gauge). The sensor is the same type as the fuel supply line, except the body is brass rather than stainless.

Yeah something is weird for sure...

I'm in a conversation in the 11 to 16 section and may do what a user did there that I posted for him; a oil pressure sensor and gauge from Max Tow, instead of buying that 4 input module from Banks that's buku bucks... to read it on the iDash. And I like his idea of a coolant pressure sensor also. Would just have to figure out where to mount them... but more thought for another time.

Sorry if this has been asked before... 2015 F350 deleted. I have a pair of DataMonsters set on the 8 display settings. I do limited daily driving, but do tow my enclosed car trailer (about 19k#) a couple of thousand miles a year. It currently has just over 264k miles, original CP4, original turbo. I have installed the S&S DPK. I have added the temps to the DM. In your opinion, what are the most important PID's to add to watch in this truck? I have downloaded the chart from Banks for the 2015 and found that not all that are listed are available.

TIA

David

If you are not seeing all the PID's, make sure that you have the correct vehicle settings in the iDash for your truck. Also, make sure you are looking at the PID list for the previous iDash models and not the newer Pro models. Unfortunately, they will slightly differ...

As to what to monitor, especially with 2 monitors, HERE is a thread I made showing what all I monitor on 2 screens. One being a Data Monster and the other a Data Pro.
