I found a set of 70 4x4 radius arms and the threaded portion and further down where the bushings mount is rusted/eroded away to a point that I believe it would impact the strength of the arms them selves. My question is are the radius arms from an early bronco the same parts as a f100 4x4 from 67-72 ? Also I've seen many replacement parts like this for Broncos does anyone make these for F100's ?
Aside from a few minor variations, between vehicles and years, they are essentially identical and fully interchangeable from 66 to 79.
Same overall length and cap size for the C-bushings, but with some variations in the size of the bolts that hold the spring cups to the radius arms.
I think some were 7/16 and some 3/8.
The 78 and 79 models might have an extra “horn“ on the end of the cap to accommodate the factory dual shocks.
Otherwise, if you find a good set that don’t have substantial rust in the shank area, you should be able to use them with no problem.
Did you happen to ask a similar question over on another forum by any chance?
I did I'm still a bit new to this model truck and sometimes find varying degrees of experience with this model and year truck it seems there's not many out there in service and even less that are on line that have or use them.
Yeah, it’s smart to spread the questions out for a bigger pool of answers hopefully.
I just happened to be on another forum and the question came up from a couple of different members over the last week, or so. I didn’t note the usernames on any of them, so just thought I’d ask.
