Carb Return Spring
Can someone tell me where the other end of my carb return connects? I can't see anything obvious that it could go to. If someone has a picture I would be most grateful.
Thanks

If I recall it connected to the coil bracket...

I guess that would make sense, I'm guessing that the spring must have a really high amount of tension on it.

You can adj the spring tension to your liking. I always run a light petal pressure, less fatigue on long trips.

Here is what the bracket looks like. I found mine looking for something else.

Thank you for the picture. But my bracket does not have that piece with the hole in it, or anything else to attach the spring to. I'll have to figure something out.

What year and model are we working on.
Do you have all the linkage (pivot block on intake) for the throttle rods and down shift for C6 or is yours a std?
The place where you have the spring hooked is where the throttle rod connects to.

It's a 72 F250 with a 4 speed. I have all the correct throttle linkage. It's the other end near the coil I have no place to attach the other end of the spring.

Can you attach the spring to the lower part of the carb linkage and go back toward the pivot?

Throttle spring
If my memory is correct it seems that some trucks had a short metal tab with a hole for the spring that was mounted under the coil bracket.

I'll take the coil off and see what I find. Thanks.
