so who's your #1?

Ok....now that we have all witnessed yet another problem with the BCS college football scoring system...my question is who is your number one? USC is listed at the top of the AP and Coaches poll, with LSU being 2nd and Oklahoma in 3rd. what is the solution and will it ever happen?

personally I'd like to see a playoff pairing system like the pros and division II use.

I wish it would have been USC and LSU....or I'd even been ok with seeing USC and OK. Turmoil in college football...who da thought it?

sorry jimmy....I was just trying to keep it from getting more screwed up than it already was....I wanted it to be someone that had a chance at WINNING it.. didn't think AK had a chance... guess I was wanting your choice for the #1 out of the three choices possible ... not some off the wall team that shouldn't be there at all

I thought the whole point of the BCS was to try and end the co-champ thing. All this did was tick off a bunch of viewers, and me most importantly , and cause even more doubters of the BCS. I actually agreed with Joe Theisman *sp* last night. And I quote:

"The BCS should have the C taken out, because that's exactly what it is."

I couldn't agree more Joe. Personally, I dont think OK deserves to be in the game. They might be 10-1, or 11-1, whatever it is, but they did NOT win the Big 12. If anything, and this is a stretch I know, K-St is more deserving than OK.

So heres what I think should happen:

LSU vs USC for National Champ, OK plays in the Holiday Bowl, because I am mad, and Army plays in the Rose Bowl out of pity for going 0-13

ditto...I have a hard time with Ok playing for the National Championship when they didn't even win their conference.

Yes...the good ole corn....huskers, yes. I cant stand em though...darn 6'8 310 pound linemen just run over my other favorite schools.

I hope this next one doesn't offend anyonem, but I am curious with this number one/national title talk, I ask:

Should an Independant EVER be able to win the NC? If you talk about OK not being in the NC game, because they didnt win their Division, then Navy and Notre Dame should have to either join a conference, or no long be elidgable.

Part of the problem is the "playoff" game between the north and the south in the big 12. Going into the game, it's a lose/lose for Oklahoma. They've already gone 12-0 (played more games than others). The playoff game makes it 13 games on their schedule. On top of that, K-State was a great team that stumbled early in the season but finished as strong as any team could have. Heck, given the caliber of the two teams, last Saturday could have been the championship game! Remember, it's still just one loss, and to a great team to boot !! They deserve to play for the title. (Oklahoma)

I'm a big Notre Dame fan but they make the rankings at the beginning of each year and even i can admit they're getting worse every year so I might as well pick them.

Even though they were awful this year, I'd like to write in Penn State!

It will end up in a split championship if USC wins because the writers will not leapfrog LSU or OU over them if they beat #4 Michigan. We need a 16 team playoff in div-1. Top 16 based on poll average (ap&ESPN/USA) with bcs just to break ties. Then teams that had injuries or fluke losses but were playing as well as anyone at the end would have a shot just like K-State this year or Michigan.
