Great, so on a 1990 Bronco, those connectors run the fuel injection and the rear light harness, and just about everything else in the truck
I have a 1989 truck EVTM and the wiring might be the same. I will try to find it and post a picture or two from it
You can pull the motor out of the truck with the wiring harness still attached by disconnecting 2 or 3 of those plugs
Looks like rodent damage?
I didn't think those old wires were as tasty to mice as the new China? wire is
Whatever they are using now days is real tasty to mice
Ford has been using garbage / waste to make plastic dash parts since the 80's
Wouldn't surprise me at all to see them using old big mac containers to make insulation for wiring now days

ok Thank you for some insight. I noticed rear taillights don’t work as well as some of the gauges so far. I’ll start to repair and see what starts to work again.

You posted in the FSB forum but how would we know if that is what you have or what year Bronco until you told us. People post in the wrong forum all the time.

I heard somewhere the new wiring insulation is soy based instead of petroleum based.
