I just lost my 4wd on my 89 F-150. I had just had the U-joints replaced on the front axles. I was plowing my driveway yesterday from that foot of snow up in CT. and all of sudden I started hearing a clunking noise from the front and lost my driveablity (4wd portion). I took a look and found the Wheel yoke that holds the U-joint to the axle had split in half (The U-joint press fit area). Looks like I'll be getting another. I'm just curious if this is a common problem with the axles?
