What is this part?

What is this piece called and where can I get a replacement? I believe it to be called something like a "counter shaft oiler funnel", but I haven't been able to find any reference to it on any parts diagram or in the repair manual. It's from a 1993 F150's M5OD-R2 transmission. It sits in the tail housing on the end of the counter shaft and directs oil pressure into the center of the counter shaft so that it can put some oil on or around the bearings of the reverse idler gear. Mine has a hole in it, and it's rather worn. This is not the oil slinger that goes on the input shaft.

Ford calls it a funnel. No idea what it does but the number is E9SZ-7L276-A. Unsurprisingly its obsolete. Possible someone who carries rebuild parts for the M5OD stocks or can get their hand on one.

Thanks! I found one on ebay, but at $65. At least this gets me started on looking for it.

That's an awesome resource. I'll have to keep that one in mind for future hard to find parts.

Parts voice can be a valuable tool however we run into it showing we have all sorts of parts that we have never even sold let alone stocked. Also many small dealers don't regularly update their inventory online so it's a crapshoot whether or not they actually have it. I am showing on my OEC locator 2 dealers that have inventory dates for this part of Feb 2007 and Sep 1998. So take it with a grain of salt.

I understand that the data may be stale. Still an interesting site.

I've got a replacement part (NOS) on order.
