@DPelletier Thanks Dave, demand is important, i agree - but i know there are kits available for older 2WD 250’s with a very similar axle/suspension set up… what makes the newer generation any different?
The biggest difference is that there are less percentage of trucks sold with 2wd every year.
IMO, you don't need a diesel but you can probably sell your current truck and buy a 4wd for not THAT much more money and effort than you will have trying to lift your 2wd with new tires/rims, etc. ......and you'll never see a dime of the money you spend modding your 2wd whereas the 4wd will always be worth more.
I didn't lift my truck but i did level it. If you'd like to hear about my experience and humble opinion, I can share what I did and the few things i still need to work out. At the moment, I feel that it drives just fine and no major problems.
Congrats on the new truck! Did you end up going the diesel route, or did you stick with a gasser 4x4? Either way I’m sure you’re enjoying the upgrade! Plenty of aftermarket options with the 4x4.
