I just got an upgrade from my 2016 f250. I got a new 2025 f350 xl and now the list of Mods and upgrades begin:
- Tinted windows - Tonneau Cover - Bed mat for now, eventually bed liner - Lasfit Floor mats front and rear - Under rear seat storage - Tie downs in truck bed - Ratchet straps that anchor to truck bed - Window side deflectors
Anything else anyone has done that they recommend (Not looking to add new tires, lift, winch, etc..) these are more functional/practical upgrades I am looking for.
Pull every piece of plastic trim out of the interior and felt tape it all and reinstall. Spay ptfe lubricant in all the cracks you can get to and maybe you’ll eliminate most squeaks and rattles. The whole interior is hard plastic on plastic.
Pull the rubber seals from door jambs and windows. Pry all the aluminum sheets apart enough to break loose the overspray on the edges and wedge toothpicks into the cracks to eliminate the ticking and cracking noises. Doors flex so much they sound like rice crispies snapping and popping.
Adjust the latches on all 4 doors inwards for a tighter seal.
Apply krytox lubricant to all rubber seals around doors and windows.
Pull all door panels off and secure all wiring and tighten all bolts. There will be something installed incorrectly or not attached as it should be.
Check for trash, clips, or nuts and bolts floating around in the bottom inside of the door while I’m there.
Or...2wd or tremor valance, use some Ford Pass points for accessories to make it yours, start obsessing over different mufflers/modifying the 2:1 resonator for more torque versus drone, decide aftermarket lift or tremor front springs. Basically, enjoy your new truck! Love my black but some days think I shoulda gone antimatter

Very nice truck. I bought a 24 F350 in AMB and it does look awesome in bright sunlight. You noted some of the upgrades that I did when I got mine. The best other upgrade I've done so far was replacing the stock shocks and steering damper with Bilstein 5100's at 4,400 miles. This was the best money I've spent on the truck (FYI, I have Bilsteins on my Excursion and my Volvo S80 commuter car as well). I also added a Helwill Big Wig rear anti sway bar and Sumo Springs bump stops. Both of these improved the towing experience. I also bought a B&W Tow 'N Stow hitch with 2" and 2 5/16" *****. You will learn to love this new truck. Enjoy.
It's a 2025, so add the SecuriCode keyless entry the way God intended it: In the vertical door pillar instead of the stick on crap they screwed up for 2024. I'm sure the price has gone up, but I bought the keypad and the pillar trim piece when I *almost* bought a 2025 last year. It was right around $100. That and a quick FORScan change and your in business.
Oh, and the only other mod/upgrade you should do for the first few thousand miles is: DRIVE IT. People jump right into swapping and changing crap, and before they realize it, they've dumped too much $$ into things they really don't need. Same thing goes for SXS's (ask me how I know). Just enjoy it and figure out what you want, THEN decide if you really need or want it.

Congrats on the new truck. I wouldn't lift it, supercharge it or rip it apart......I think the rear wheel liner suggestion is a good one though! LOL I would add mudflaps to the list as they do a great job protecting the lower body from paint damage. I would also strongly recommend putting PPF on the bumper and at least the leading edge of the hood. Alternatively you could put a hood protector/bug deflector on the hood.
As I age I'm less concerned with one mod after another. I stick with the basics. Usually Ford molded mud flaps and an AVS Aeroskin hood protector. I have a factory spray in bed liner but I reused the BedRug mat from the previous SD. That about does it for exterior.
Inside, I installed a FitcamX dash camera and Rough County neoprene seat covers. The truck is already a Tremor so I'm OK with looks, wheels, tire size, etc. But I did do away with the Wranglers that came on the truck for something quieter in factory size.
Not a serious audiophile so the factory B&O with 12 inch screen is good.

2 cents,

not going to lift it. Did it with the 6.2 and was not satisfied. Dumb question what is PPF on PPe bumper? Like the hood protector and wheel liner idea.

Paint Protection Film. Basically a clear wrap on the leading edges of the truck (bumper) to prevent against stone chips which will turn into rust
A couple mods I would suggest in addition, would be a 2WD or Tremor front valence/air dam. And Tremor running boards (or F150 brackets to raise your current steps). Unless you like or want them low, then ignore my suggestion.

Nice list! One thing I’d still consider is upgrading lighting (headlights / reverse lights), especially for night driving or towing.
A dash cam is also a solid addition if you haven’t already.

Good advice, I put sound matting on the floor and rear panel.
