15" Rims

Hey All Ya All
When I bought my 66 F100, PO gave me 4 extra steel rims. I had mentioned I wanted to use them for winter wheels. I dismounted the old tires today and noticed 2 rims are 6" wide and 2 rims are 6 1/2" wide. Not sure if they came off this truck or just stuff he had laying around. I know it wouldn't make a difference. I was just curious if they came that way stock or were all the rims the same width? They are pretty rusty, I can have them blasted for $50 a wheel. What years would interchange? Was gonna take a look at the local junk yard? Might possibly just look into buying new steel rims. What was the stock tire size or today's equivalent? Thanks.

Stock might have been 5.5" wide.

$50 per wheel puts you close to half or better of buying another wheel--newer, better condition.

For winter wheels you could run them. You probably wouldn't even notice the 6 vs 6 1/2 wheel although I suppose you should keep the same size on an axle.

Stock sizes were 7.75 or 8.15 or on a 16" wheel. Sizes shown in link here, along with some other pics and suggestions:

Look at those rusty wheels and see how deep that rust is. The wheel can split on you if it's too far gone or just be a leaker.

One place to look is the last of the E150 Econolines. Up to 2006 you can probably find a 16x7 with your same 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern. Possibly with a generic Ford dog dish hub cap to boot.....

A couple months ago, I picked up some chrome 15 x 7 wheels at a local junk yard for $30 ea, came off a 90's Dodge van. Stock 15" late model F150 wheels are 6" wide I believe.
