Getting ready to replace the other 6 coils as I replaced 2 from O'Reilly out of necessity and they were $100 each. Went to Rockauto and Motorcraft coils are $43 each but they have NGK, Denso and Bosch for $23. I've always read don't use cheap coils but these three brands are pretty well respected. Should I pay twice as much for Motorcraft or would NGK, Denso or Bosch be a comparable alternative? After spending close to $500 for a new intake and gaskets, saving a few but would be nice.

 

Well those Denso coils are EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE MOTORCRAFT ONES, Denso was the OEM manufacturer for Ford for those coils. It’s been verified that on some of them if you peel off the Motorcraft sticker on top the Denso logo and part number is printed on the coil body.
