they can be trusted as a business as I have used them for trailer parts before.
Now if that is the right part or not can only be answered if you get the part in hand and after looking it over see if it works.
On the shroud I thought you said the 302 opening was larger than the 300 fan?
You also need to check the fan off set to the radiator as some fans sit to the right more than center.
I found info on the NPD shroud I bought it is # F8146-18 and the Ford # F5TZ - 8146 - C

Opening is a little larger than the 84 fan but not too big and it lines up correctly with the fan. The shroud is too deep though, it completely swallows the fan. I need a shroud like the one you posted below. Much thinner than the one I pulled off of the 93.
The last water pump I changed on my truck, (1986 with a 300, AC) had water pump blades WITHOUT curves. Just a flat blade at 90 degrees, not what I was expecting.
1987 and ON, the nut that holds the fan on, shown in the photos, turn the opposite direction because the fan turns the opposite direction.
Directions are in printed on top of the shroud, I had to change my directions, as it was off a newer truck.
I ordered a new fan for the truck. One that is meant to turn clockwise. It’ll be here Tuesday so I’ll see how it helps then. I found out tonight while checking a fence line, that I have a broken brake line. Thankfully it’s a manual and I stacked hay bales where I did this year. So that’s on my to-do list while I wait on the fan.
I got the new fan put on today. Got it up to operating temp and let it idle for 45 mins. Never got over 180. Also got the brake lines done (who the hell designed those retaining clips?).
I put the new choke on also but I think I had it turned to tight, when I would hit the gas the choke would reset. It cranks easily with the choke though. I’ll loosen it some this weekend.
I also need to reset the timing since it’s pinging now. I think it’s on 10 right now I could be 14 it’s hard to tell but I’ll look at that again this weekend too.
Once I get those things done it’ll be running like a top.
Thank y’all for helping me out. I was struggling to get it right!

Groovy! Thanks for the update. Have you gone for a test drive yet?
We forgot to mention a quick test for the fan. With the engine at idle, hold a rag or sheet of paper in front of the radiator. It should be held tightly by suction from the fan. If the airflow was weak and/or still in the wrong direction, the rag/paper would fall off.

Oh yeah drove it around for about an hour today and then let idle for a while and no over heating. Before, with the other fan I could stand in front of the truck and feel it blowing air at me. I held a rag up and it was blowing it away forcefully. Now with the new fan it will hold a dollar bill to the radiator. I also went from a 5 blade to a 6 blade fan. It was the only thing I could find. I’m sure the 6 blade will cause alternator and steering pump problems later down the road but that’s a trade off I’m willing to take if it means the engine stays cool.
I was thinking the same as Karl then seen in your follow up post you did the testing well done
Who did you get the fan through?
I know mine is different but I should change out the 4 blade for more blades at some point and maybe they list one?

I found it on Autozones website. It’s a Derale flex fan part #17118. It’s an 18”. They had plenty of different sizes and rotation options also. They also have an assortment of clutch fans and direct mount (I guess that’s what they’re called). I think it was $72.
That is not the normal flex fan I was warning about. That looks more like the factory fan. Is it steel or aluminum? Here is what I was talking about that I would stay away from.

I never had any problems with that type of fan other than it having vary sharp edges and will open you up and not knoww it.
Thanks for the ifo where you go it from.

It’s made of steel. I agree it looks like a regular fan. I didn’t realize that was the description until I went back to find the part number. Autozone calls it a flex fan, summit racing just calls it a clutch fan.
