Hi All,

I bought a 2016 5L that’s been exported, crash repaired.

I bought it purely as the mileage was 76k. Since buying I’m having a few problems you’d get on engine with a lot more miles.

Im now thinking it’s not the original engine. I’ve located the engine serial number, to be fair it looks like a 5 year old child made it…….

Does it look right?

 

That most definitely looks doctored.

 

Post where it's located on the engine and maybe someone else can check to see what theirs looks like.

it is stamped, on the block above the oil pan rail very close to the bell housing

 

laser etched they look more like dots than a stamping

 

That is not stamped. It was deposited.
