2008 F350 I have a humming type noise coming from the rear more noticeable at highway speeds

I would start with a detailed inspection of the drivetrain and tires and a tire rotation.

Just start? Is it full of the correct gear oil? Aggressive tires? Tire condition? Rear could just have forgotten the words.
