Hello everyone, looking for some help here thank you in advance!
I have a 2001 F350 with the 7.3 L, recently the overdrive light on the shifter started flashing. I borrowed a code reader that would read that type of code and it gave me a P0713 code. From when I have read, that is a high temperature signal from the transmission fluid temperature sensor. I noticed the overdrive light flashing right after I had started the truck so I knew the temperature was not high, also the truck has had no transmission issues that I am aware.
Then, when I drove the truck again, I noticed that when I turned on the high beam headlights, the headlights would turn off completely. Also, the back up lights and the rear running lights have stopped working. The low beam headlights, turn signals hazard lights and brake lights all work fine.
I started by checking some fuses, but didn’t see anything obvious for any likely culprit. Any help or advice on where to start would be appreciated thank you!
