I have a 2009 f450 with the 6.4 engine. My master cylinder went bad and when trying to get a new one I have been asked if it has a brake control valve or not. The truck is a base model with no factory brake controller and no cruise control but the old master cylinder has a sensor on the bottom as well as a level sensor on the reservoir. I know on the older super duty the sensor was for the cruise control but I don't know what this one is,there are 2 purple wires on the plug. I'm just trying to get the right part but im not sure what I need and the parts store people are of no help
The sensor on the bottom is the redundant brake pressure switch for cruise control, I have never seen a truck without that sensor. One like this matches what you have.
